The Padre of Pickle secured their 2nd title over my Chicago Holy Cows in one of the tightest finales this league has seen. The difference was 2 strikeouts, 0.11 ERA, and 0.12 WHIP which amounts to one good relief appearance. The Padres first championship goes back to 2013 so it's been awhile since they've reached the summit.
This is the last offseason before the MLB collective bargaining agreement ends again which could bring another work stoppage. This uncertainty is definitely impacting many organizations' moves. The financial rules of engagement will likely change with the new agreement, so teams want to be prepared. We can worry about all that next season.
There's no foreign series to prematurely open the season, but it does start earlier with opening night on 3/25 with Yankees @ Giants and full opening day on 3/26.
Post here if you want to get in touch with the league before yahoo launches next season.
